The first of two parts, this 60-minute session will introduce the concepts of searching the healthcare literature to support systematic reviews from initial framing of a question, to demonstrate search using PICO(T), searching both keywords and subject terms for CINAHL and MEDLINE on the new EBSCOhost interface. Part 2 will look at how to process results using personal folders and bibliographic software. By the end of this session, participants will be able to: Describe key steps in searching in support of systematic reviewsPlan an appropriate search strategy using the PICO(T) frameworkLocate and use methodological search filters Further support for EBSCOhost research databases

Advanced Searching new EBSCOhost – Navigation Changes

This 60-minute session will introduce advanced search concepts for searching CINAHL on the new EBSCOhost interface, including a review of the navigation changes, NHS Librarians in England. In this session we will look at keyword and subject searching, use of precision (proximity) operators, combining searches in the Search History and reviewing available options to save, share, download and export search results, as well as saving, editing and downloading searches, according to the new navigation features. This 60-minute session will introduce options for managing search results after searching the literature on CINAHL and MEDLINE, on the new EBSCOhost interface, in support of systematic reviews. This session will look at available options including using the MyEBSCO personal Folder to store and retrieve searches and references exporting to bibliographic software, such as Endnote and RefWorks.
