Supporting Systematic Reviews in the new EBSCOhost Part 1 - Searching

The first of two parts, this 60-minute session will introduce the concepts of searching the healthcare literature to support systematic reviews from initial framing of a question, to demonstrate search using PICO(T), searching both keywords and subject terms for CINAHL and MEDLINE on the new EBSCOhost interface.

Part 2 will look at how to process results using personal folders and bibliographic software.

By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

• Describe key steps in searching in support of systematic reviews
• Plan an appropriate search strategy using the PICO(T) framework
• Locate and use methodological search filters
• Further support for EBSCOhost research databases
