Advanced Searching new EBSCOhost – Navigation Changes

This 60-minute session will introduce advanced search concepts for searching CINAHL on the new EBSCOhost interface, including a review of the navigation changes, NHS Librarians in England. In this session we will look at keyword and subject searching, use of precision (proximity) operators, combining searches in the Search History and reviewing available options to save, share, download and export search results, as well as saving, editing and downloading searches, according to the new

 navigation features.

By the end of the session, you will be able to:

• Identify and utilise the new navigation features
• Perform Title and Abstract & Subject searches for CINAHL on EBSCOhost
• Combine keyword (free text) and CINAHL Headings using the Search History
• Appy precision (proximity) operators to improve search results
• Export results in RIS and related formats for bibliographic software
• Save, share, download results and searches
